The Customer

Monheim am Rhein is a medium-sized city with over 850 years of history and, as part of the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, belongs to a conurbation with over ten million inhabitants.

The Challenge

How can digital citizen services be used to further increase the city's attractiveness as a place to live and do business and play a pioneering role in smart city services in Germany?

Our Work

We were able to support Monheim from idea development to channel and app strategy through to UX and UI design. Today, we continue to support them in the ongoing development and expansion of their offering.

The Result

With the Monheim Pass app, Monheim am Rhein has not only created a flagship project and a blueprint in the field of smart city services, it has also been able to make life in its city a little more pleasant for its citizens with a wealth of interactive information and functions.

By now, the app offers its users services from all areas of daily life.

Citizens and visitors can use the app to hire city bikes at many stations in the city or use public transport.

The app's own payment function allows users to conveniently use paid services.

Digital tickets serve as access authorisation to citizen-exclusive services, attractions or public events.
